Our Story
CommunityAssist.co was born from a simple but powerful realization: too many people in need don't know where to turn for help, and too many resources go unused because people can't find them.
In communities across the country, we saw families struggling to put food on the table while food banks had available resources. We witnessed people facing eviction who were unaware of emergency rental assistance programs in their area. We met individuals avoiding medical care due to cost, not knowing about free community health centers nearby.
The gap wasn't a lack of resources—it was a lack of connection. Community organizations, government programs, and nonprofit services existed, but finding them required navigating complex systems, multiple websites, and bureaucratic processes that could overwhelm anyone, especially those already in crisis.
We set out to change that. CommunityAssist.co serves as a bridge, connecting people with the assistance programs and community resources available in their area. We believe that seeking help should be met with dignity, not judgment, and that everyone deserves to know what support is available to them.
